Soapbox Race in Les Menuires : see you on July 14 for a day full of fun!

On July 14, 2026, Les Menuires will host one of the most original summer events: the big soapbox race organized by the Sports Clubs of Val Thorens and Les Menuires.

For this fourth edition, both kids and adults will be able to watch or take part in creative and wild homemade cart races in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

An open race for everyone

The adult race is open from age 8, with teams made up of 1 to 3 people. The driver must be over 14 years old. Several rankings will be established throughout the summer, including a stage-by-stage ranking and an overall championship across the three dates.

Before the main adult descent, a dedicated children’s race for ages 10 to 13 will also take place, with vehicles provided by the organizers.

Program of the day

1:00 PM: children’s race start
1:30 PM to 2:30 PM: technical checks for adult soapboxes
3:00 PM to 3:30 PM: course reconnaissance
3:30 PM: adult race start
Podium and awards ceremony at the end of the races

Entertainment, barbecue, and food stands will complete this great summer day in the heart of Les Menuires.
