After an absence of eight years, the Freeride World Tour is making a comeback in France with a new venue in Val Thorens!Europe's highest resort will host a stage of the
2025 edition of this emblematic freeride event,
welcoming the world's best riders to the famous Cime Caron.
The Freeride World Tour is recognised as the benchmark competition in freeride skiing and snowboarding, attracting the world's best athletes every year for
spectacular performances. Created in 2008, this event has become a must for fans of extreme sports. In its 16 years of existence, legends such as Candide Thovex, Xavier de Le Rue, Jérémie Heitz and Aurélien Ducroz have made their mark on the competition.
The events take place on ungroomed natural terrain, where riders have to combine technical mastery and daring, while pushing their physical and mental limits.
The competition is divided into four categories: women skiers, women snowboarders, men skiers and men snowboarders.
At an altitude of 2,300 metres, Val Thorens and the Cime Caron offer an exceptional playing field, combining technical challenges with breathtaking panoramas. Renowned for its exceptional snow conditions and top-quality infrastructure, the resort is reinforcing its position as a must-visit winter sports destination.

rench leg will also be the only one accessible by ski lift, thanks to the Cime Caron cable car.In addition to the Freeride World Tour, Val Thorens will be hosting other major events, such as the Ski Cross World Cup and the Ice Cross World Cup, consolidating its status as the destination of choice for top-level skiing.
