DAKINE was founded in 1979 by ROB KAPLAN in HAWAI. It was his passion for surfing that led him to develop his own leashes and create the brand.

The brand develops and stands out by creating high quality products dedicated to the practice of board sports such as surfing, snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, but also to outdoor sports such as mountain biking.
